Humanitarian Relief

At Dyer Immigration Law Group, we help vulnerable immigrants seek protection and lawful status in the United States through a variety of humanitarian immigration options. These cases often involve urgent safety concerns, past trauma, or fear of returning to a home country. Our attorneys and staff treat each case with professionalism and compassion, and we work to present clear, well-supported applications and petitions.

Humanitarian Relief Services

Political Asylum

Asylum may be available to individuals who fear persecution in their home country based on race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or membership in a particular social group. We help clients evaluate asylum eligibility, prepare detailed supporting documentation, and navigate interviews and court proceedings when applicable.

U Visas for Victims of Certain Crimes

The U visa is a form of humanitarian relief designed for victims of certain crimes who have suffered substantial harm and have been helpful (or are likely to be helpful) to law enforcement in the investigation or prosecution of the crime. We assist clients with case strategy, supporting evidence, and the certification process.

T Visas for Victims of Human Trafficking

The T visa may be available to survivors of human trafficking. These cases can involve complex facts and sensitive documentation. Our attorneys guide clients through the process, including evidence development and any related immigration benefits for qualifying family members.

Relief Under VAWA

The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) provides certain protections and immigration options for individuals who have suffered abuse by a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident family member. Our team helps eligible clients pursue relief in a way that prioritizes safety, confidentiality, and long-term stability.

Temporary Protected Status

Temporary Protected Status (TPS) may allow eligible nationals of certain countries to remain and work in the United States when conditions in their home country temporarily prevent safe return (such as armed conflict, environmental disaster, or other extraordinary conditions). We assist with initial TPS applications, renewals, and related work authorization filings.

Deferred Action and Other Discretionary Relief

In some circumstances, a person may be able to request deferred action or other forms of discretionary relief. These options are highly fact-specific and depend on current policies and eligibility. We help clients understand potential options and prepare strong requests where appropriate.

We are here to help.

At Dyer Immigration Law Group, immigration is all our attorneys do. We help businesses and individuals attain their immigration goals and help vulnerable immigrant populations seek relief in the form of asylum, relief for victims of domestic violence, trafficking, and other crimes, temporary protected status, NACARA cancellation of removal, and other forms of relief.
